Wang Binghua, chairman of China nuclear technology, explained "what is a demonstration project": the cap1400 demonstration project is an integrated demonstration and test of the three generations of nuclear power autonomous achievements, and a landmark project for China to become a world power in nuclear power; the demonstration content is to develop nuclear power business in nuclear power design, high-end equipment and material manufacturing, organization and management of large-scale complex system engineering and high-efficiency economy The four aspects of the model are to comprehensively verify the advanced nature and reproducible nature of CAP1400, and the goal is to "build it into a model of the three generation nuclear power in the world". The national nuclear technology has compiled the demonstration target system document in 3 years, and has gradually decomposed the demonstration target, and implemented the responsibility to every unit and implemented it to the people. Wu Fang, general manager of CNNP, the owner of cap1400 demonstration project, introduced that the "two assessment reports" (environmental impact report and plant site safety analysis report) of the site selection stage of the demonstration project had passed the review of the Ministry of environmental protection (National Nuclear Safety Administration) in 2013 and was expected to be approved in the near future; the preliminary safety analysis report and special review were close to the end; the project feasibility study report was submitted for approval Substantial progress has been made. According to Wu Fang, the construction drawing design of cap1400 nuclear island has been completed about 65%, and the construction design can be started after 30% - 70% is completed. Among the main equipment, 20 long-term equipment contracts such as reactor pressure vessel, steam generator, main pump, TG package (i.e. steam turbine generator unit equipment) have been signed, and are being manufactured by major domestic equipment manufacturers according to the plan.
